Sock Monkey Costume

Sometimes it is difficult to select a costume for your child or for an adult  for Halloween because there are just so many adorable, crazy costumes to choose from.  One really great option is the sock monkey costume.

This great little costume is character plus!  Your toddler will love being dressed up in this sock monkey costume, especially if they have a sock monkey at home that they love to cuddle and play with.

As with most costumes, this one has a full face headpiece which sits above the face.  This allows you to not have to use a mask or apply messy make up to your child that is a hassle to wash off later when your toddler has had enough for the night.  At that point, your child will likely be beyond tired and just want to go to bed and drift off to sleep, so the extra face washing can be a real task.  Aside from trying to remove the make up, if your child becomes overheated, the make up can run and just be a huge mess.

The bodysuit of this costume is of a felt like material, so it is soft, not itchy like the regular material that is used in the sock monkey stuffie.  Of course, if the head piece becomes too heavy or annoying for your child, you have the option of removing it and using it as an additional candy collection basket.

The history of the sock monkey is now 100 years strong, and it is an iconic symbol that is much loved across the globe.  Since many much loved characters have been represented in Halloween costumes, it naturally makes sense that this beloved character finally takes the next step and becomes an adorable and cuddly Halloween costume.  Your child will delight in becoming a life sized version of their favorite cuddly toy and you will have many opportunities to take adorable pictures that will create life long memories.
